Intermittently or skimming highlights. My wife and kids really enjoy watching swimming, but we are closely following everything

I do usually watch some Olympics, even though I'm not a big sports guy, but this year I just haven't been "feelin it man"

Nope. Consider the Olympics a display of excess and gross profiteering by a corrupt IOC at the public's expense. It's annoying when it happens in the developed world, but it was nearly offensive at places like Rio. Plus the amount of events is ridiculous and some are nothing resembling athletics anymore.

Some sports were always borderline, but it's been ridiculous for years. Bridge was a demonstrator sport at the Salt Lake City games. It's a card game! Shooting in the current olympics is similar. Sure it takes skill, but it's not a sport. There's no athleticism to it. Hell even darts is more athletic than shooting. Plain silly at this point.

Not watching it , I will say this and I am not sure if it is the same but it used to be that the Canadian Olympians paid for their own way their own training and such maybe get some ad backing but that was and probably is still is happening pretty much every other country in the Olympics has backing from their country meaning their country pays for everything or most everything the training the food, trainers doctors the whole thing, which being a Canadian in the Olympics is very hard this is why I haven't watched the Olympics its kind of already fixed not rigged but fixed financially, I do believe in all Canadian Athletes in the Olympics it takes a lot of heart to get to that level to complete worldly representing the Country because they did it on their own

I'm not watching it but I follow a couple of things. This is kind of the downside of not having cable anymore. But then the things that I am missing don't really make up for the high cost so I'm ok with that.

You can probably get Olympic coverage on CBC's free streaming service (GEM).

I've been watching lots of it. I'll say I'm really disappointed at the CBC coverage. We record lots of it and watch later, the problem being the recording will end right when an event is about to end so if we've not recorded the very next section it's gone... also, they will show an event partially and skip over to another one with the outcome unknown unless you google it.

Whoever is responsible for the bouncing around should be shit canned.

The winter Olympics, on the other hand, had 3 and 4 hour segments so it was waaaasy easier. They would also complete the events.
