I have had good luck with this. I'm pretty sure one bottle is just iso or something equivalent but the other bottle works really well to help soften and remove paste.

just iso and like most said a soft toothbrush or razor blade and needle. good luck I would bet it going to be fine
99 ISO and ultra soft brush.
That being said, like a few others and 3.0 , I managed to nuke a CPU once myself from mishandling.

I have a ultra fine toothbrush and this to try next I got this far with a toothpick hoping this gets the last bit.
I thought the pins were like Intel brittle and weak as straw I was wrong toothbrush worked perfectly

I think the concern is that the ISO might affect the IHS cover seal. I'd be more inclined to suggest soaking it pin side down with the ISO level coming up to the bottom of the PCB.
