I don't think we have thread for this one yet. Couldn't find it in search anyway. Pre-download for early access available 5 Dec.

I think the skill tree will completely blow my mind lol, but I am still interested. You have to buy to get into early access, but it will be free to play as I understand once it goes 1.0 or whatever. They are expecting early access to be at least 6 month. Not the full game at early access start, but still very big.

Anyone buying into this one for early access? Thoughts?

Here's a pretty impressive overview video, I suppose this could be considered spoilers to some degree, so your call if you click!

And I guess another question/comment, there are similarities between all ARPGs, but if you're a follower of both this and D IV, do you think this will pull you away from D IV?

I guess if I was looking for early complaints, the classes are tied to gender. I don’t care for that in games.

I am going to wait until its actually released and free I know that its going to be decent but I still get overwhelmed and lost in the skill tree of POE so I don't want to pay for a game that I am still confused with skills also I have always been a SOLO player which makes things much more difficult.

ye the gender tied classes was one of the thing I didnt like about POE I always play female even though I am a man and well I was stuck with a few toons I could play I did play Male toon but for me its not the same I would rather be looking a female when running around for hours then a male . which has at time been awkward when I have been playing earlier online games and people were hitting on me thinking i was a female and to make matters worse most were teens and I felt that I had to tell them that I am a male over 50 years old

I'm super annoyed at this situation. PoE is one of my favourite games and I've been looking forward to PoE2 for a long time. I love almost everything about the first. The sheer variety in builds/gear/gems/etc provides so much more game than most. And their F2P model was to be commended as being incredible for it's lack of a P2W model.

But what kills me is the idea of micro-transacting early access. PoE 2 was being billed as RELEASED in 2024, and now we're being charged to be their beta testers. This really sits poorly with me.

All that said, I do think this game is shaping up to absolutely demolish the competition with it's gameplay and variety. I'm still looking forward to it, just not sure I'm interested in early access.

I really enjoyed PoE 1 until there was mass server performance issues for months on end. One of the official suggestions was to set up a macro to execute a console command every time you saw it happen and that went on for a couple months. I know they eventually fixed it however by the time i tried getting back into the game I just couldn't get back into the swing of things.

I have enough things to do though I'll wait for the EA to finish. Looking forward to comments and feedback though from the rest of you.

I will be honest...I have never played POE. Am I missing out? I know nothing about it.

Pay to buy/pay to play/pay to win?

It always felt more like a successor to Diablo II than Diablo III did. And the only thing you paid for was cosmetics and extra invenotry spaces. The inventory was nice but not manditory.
