Got it sorted out.

The issue was the resolution originally set to UWQHD by my main pc. This game saves resolution settings in the Documents/My Games folder .ini file as opposed to the local install location. Changing the res to 1920X1080 allowed me to launch it on my laptop.

I'll just have to do a .tmp save once I have the laptop settings dialed in and swap to that whenever I want to play on the laptop.

Put 45 min to an hour into this last night. Had a full game crash/exit as soon as I reached the first checkpoint, but other than that it is running without issue...luckily it did save that I got to the checkpoint. Decided to start with the very basic warrior for now.

Its play is absolutely fine, but I will say that my opening first attempt didn't specifically draw me in. I will definitely keep playing for now though and see how things develop.

I crashed (desktop lost full power staring at a black screen) about 7 times last night while messing around. Wasn't even doing anything weird. Turning from DX12 and going to Vulkan and the crashing stopped.

I haven't played in a while, so perhaps I'll run into these crashes, but I wasn't having those several weeks ago. Interesting.

Wow, that's bizarre. Are you running an AMD GPU?

I'm currently lvl 88 and running T15 maps, so more time in than I really should have. I've seen maybe 3-4 crashes to desktop in my entire playtime. I haven't seen a common denominator for the crashes so far, but the game is definitely being worked on in early access, so I expect these to clear up.

Yeah 7900xtx, latest drivers etc.

-Tried a bunch of other things too, posts about Windows Game Input having 2 copies. Nuke oldest no change still chrash
-Turned off GPU power limit increase, no change still crashed
-Turned off CPU curve optimizer, no change still crashed
-Limited GPU to 60 FPS (was happily hitting 120+ on 4k with everything maxed, no upscaling etc) and watched temperatures, slightly cooler, slightly less powerdraw, still crashed
-Steam nuke shaders and verify files, still crashed
-Changed from DX12 -> Vulcan crashing stopped and was able to increase the GPU power limit again & re-enable curve optimizer. Monitor is only capable of 60Hz so left the 60FPS cap in place.
