Path of Exile II (Path of Exile 2) - Early access 6 Dec 2024 - discussions

Well I bought it too. Just the basic one though... still, I think I might need an intervention... ;)

If you thought of items like FF7 and the skill tree like FF10 (if you every played those) it was less intimidating.

Just a note, pre-download doesn't look to be available for Steam. Not that I need pre-download, but I decided to refund my Steam purchase and buy directly from Grinding Gear Games. Buying from them also provides a Steam key and an Epic key.

They are supposed to be making the standalone PC client available for pre-download at 5:00 PM PST on 5 Dec.

Just opened up Steam and there was a banner on my library telling me I could pre-download PoE2. It appears to be downloading as I type this.

Um, holy crap, 83 GB. I can see why pre-loading is a good thing.

Looking forward to seeing how this goes. I am expecting server hiccups, best to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

ooooooooooooooooo time to remote in im at work ill get this downloading now.

Well, apparently Steam did have a pre-download after all. Good.

I'm not having much luck doing it directly from them. Get's partway downloaded and then fails the download. Perhaps Steam's infrastructure can handle the load better! :)

Trying it the Steam route with the key from my purchase. One thing, their standalone launcher/downloader didn't appear to offer an install location. Maybe it would have after the download was completed, but I'd prefer to know where the downloaded files are going before I start!

and here when i get off work ill have to chip away the ice driveway in driveway and clear off snow off the truck then do it again Saturday >< cant win but ill try forgo sleep long as i can.
