I'm a little skeptical too.... I would be expecting it to at least hold its own against conroe and kentsfield in terms of performance....

There's a few sites out there presenting Penryn results now, but they're all the same results supplied by Intel, and the comparisons are not done on a clock-for-clock basis against the Kentsfield.
