Hi,

I currently use a Samsung P2770 which is a 27" 1080p TN panel. It has been a great workhorse for my home office but I am considering an upgrade if the price is right to achieve the right specs. I haven't looked at monitors for ~10 years so I am hoping you smart folks can offer some education!

Target usage: This is for my home office where I spend most of my time split windowed between a browser and a terminal. I also use the monitor to watch movies and do music production in my spare time. I don't play games at this desk.

Target specs:
Size: 27-32". As large as possible but I can't go beyond 30" width (including bezel).
Resolution: Ideally 4k for the movies and desktop resolution. 2k seems like a half measure but the increases desktop resolution would be nice.
Panel type: My current TN panel sometimes annoys me at certain angles so IPS is a requirement.
Inputs: My Lenovo x270 laptop is docked and supports HDMI.
Speakers: Not needed as I run my KRK Rokit5 pair through a dedicated USB preamp.
Refresh rate: I don't game on this system so 60hz is probably fine. I'm open to hearing the advantages of 120hz /144hz for work/movies.
Budget: <$300. I'm open to refurbished or pre-owned options as well.
Mount: Stand required, cannot be wall mounted.

Thank you for your input!
