Poll: Counter Strike Source Server

I'm polling to see who / how many people want a weekly CSS server.
Please vote Yay, Nay, or meh.

Eventually I want to have a dedicated server up and running 24/7, it would cost a little, but I could keep the price fairly low per person. I would set it up like this:
I pay 10/month
Admin: 3/month
Reserved 2/month

or
I pay 10/month
Create a clan, everyone in the clan pays 2-5/month, any extra will goto either a pot for new parts or unforeseen hardware problems or a better internet connection.

It would cost us all money to pay for a dedicated connection (ie Shaw Highspeed), Electricity , and upkeep of hardware. Thats not too much over all, my 10/month pays for around 1/5 of the total cost.

I'm getting a little a head of my self here, I first need to know how many people would be interested in playing CSS online at all.

Please feel free to give me any feedback regarding anything mentioned in this post!

I play CS Source all the time ... But I only play on West Coast servers for the low ping ...

Is there anyone in BC that can give me a hand with the server tonight?
I need someone outside of my network to try my server while I have it up.

I should have it up between 4:30 and 5 this evening.

cardboard, im not in bc but i get <50ms on most servers down to texas so i'll test out your server for you tonight if you send the ip address and password. Cheers!

The name should be Hardware Canucks and the pass is 'hwc'

Boy I wish I had more time for this, I would be all over it. I love CSS but I simply do not have time to play anymore.(therefore I suck) Good luck and keep posting your progress.

I tried connecting to your server last night but i realized my time is EST and yours in not, hehe. So i was online around 11pm est trying to connect, neither would work. But im still interested!!

I'm having trouble getting everything working right, mainly because it hates having a CSS client on the same computer as the server...:blarg:

But that will be fixed soon, I just need an old P3 1ghz with 256mb of ram and a 20gb hard drive. If anyone has an old system that they want to be rid of, PM me. I would be glad to take it off of your hands. I'll pay for shipping!

Once I have linux running on that setting up the server should be quick and painless, aside from having to memorize numerous console commands.:doh:
