Hi fellows,

How do I connect my iPad Pro to a larger monitor or television? I am getting to much eye strain using this Apple tablet!

Thank you in advance,

I tried plugging the Apple Type-C recharge cord into the Type-C input jack of my monitor, but it is not working! What is happening?

Is this actually an Apple Type-C cord or a Lightning cord?

Do I need to order this adapter from Apple?

thank you

So which type of port does your iPad have? The old Lightning like this picture or the new USB-C? Are you sure your monitor's Type-C port isn't just for charging and take video input? Assuming the iPad Pro is USB-C (I don't know my iPads), and the monitor can take USB-C input, then it's a compatibility problem. According to Apple's own guide, you need a USB-C AV adapter like the one you posted.

What is the use case? Is there a reason wireless casting doesn't work? Most TV's have Miracast or an alternative solution that just needs an app.

Hi fellows,

I contacted Apple Service and they stated I need the following adapter https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MW5M3AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter.

I have a USB-C not Lightning cable. The service guy on the phone advised that the USB-C cable is probably not providing enough power to the monitor port and I will need to use the HDMI adapter. Anyway, if it does not work, I will driving my car to the closest Apple store, to figure this out.

Thanks!
