at first I thought that it was my mouse that had the problem ( and maybe this mouse maybe a little buggy) but after a while I bought a gigabyte osmium keyboard and when I plugged that in it would constantly disconnect , I had to unplug and replug it in. now that I closeted that keyboard and use an older keyboard I sometimes hear the windows sound of something plugging in or unplugging from a USB port . if I am only using this G5 mouse and keyboard and sometimes plug in my phone to charge everything seem ok.
the system I am running is an old z77 motherboard extreme 3 with a I5 2500k .

not sure what is going on maybe I need to upgrade ?

It's possible that the 5V line on your PSU is failing... could be running under-voltage and failing when too many things get connected.
