Am I priced correctly?

I didn't get any replies to my original request for pricing so I made a guess and posted in the FS forum.
No hits on my FS thread so I am reposting here with full specs and open to suggestions.
Two units sold on RFD.

I don't think your prices are necessarily bad, but newer hardware is a hard sell unless the prices are crazy good.

It's also Christmas/Black Friday season too, there was a lot of good deals on more consumer-friendly laptops. ThinkPads really only appeal to those that know them. I don't think many kids ask for ThinkPads...or perhaps not even laptops anymore.

Since the T460 to T470 really had no changes, and the ones you have actually have a drop in CPU too, I think the T470 price is a bit high.

The T450 with 900p screens probably need to drop more too, relatively speaking they're nearly twice as thick as the 460/470 or anything current.

All these also lack Windows right? That's likely a turn off for most buyers too. I would anticipate these all have Windows 7/8.1/10 keys embedded in the BIOS though depending what they shipped with, so I'm pretty sure you should be able to load up a clean copy of Windows.

I will be honest and say it’s price, IMO, why you aren’t getting much interest. There were just excellent deals for Black Friday (new with better specs and warranty). Nothing wrong with the prices per se, but that is likely the reason...timing is everything.

Basically. the 480s is on for 999 and your getting a new laptop, double the performance, windows and a warranty. The thinkpad L490 2019 models were on, sans a finger print reader, for 750$.

prices are not horrible by any means but I would look into the windows thing. The serial numbers should be tied to the laptops and not your company unless you explicitly bought them without windows.

I'll look into the Windows licenses. I tend to stay away from that because I don't want to get involved in licensing and most of my customers want Linux anyway.

The Black Friday deals make sense.

I'll review and likely make a few adjustments. Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

If the laptops came with Windows when new they should have the Windows 8/10 logo sticker. If that is the case, then they will self-activate when a copy is installed without the need for a key.

I'd say the pricing is reasonable. If you can afford to drop it a bit though, you may have better success.

I recall my boss picking up a linux edition of one of the ThinkPads and it was cheaper than it's windows clone for 2 reasons not just one. Software licensing was one but the Linux versions didn't come with the fingerprint scanner reducing the hardware costs since it's support was absolutely questionable at best.

It should be simple enough to check if they are tied to a auth key. Drop a temp drive into one and then attempt to do a "I don't have a key" install to see if it has a legit digital license.
