New Mounting bracket for the TEC block. This one is the prototype done with PLA.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! I PRESENT.... CARNAGE!!!!
So.... Long story short. I knew the TEC block was due for a GOOD cleaning. Opened her up and well.... look up again and wince for me.
YES... THIS IS A RESULT OF NON distilled water being used... NO I did not intentionally use non distilled water.
Might be the start of the Distilled water conspiracy theory however... Tap water used in distilled water jugs....
Copper components are salvageable... the aluminum lid on the other hand.... GOOD merciful computer cooling gods!!!!
Plan "A"
I know a decent machine shop whom SHOULD be able to remake me an aluminum lid at some unknown price.
Plan "B" (The more likely, don't ask why it's the runner up)
Lap the contact face, have the above mention machine shop machine out the ugly.
Plan "C"
Some loving soul out there takes pity on me and offers a solution or better yet OWNs another block and would love to send it my way. If the User "Braineater" happens to see this; I know your soul is bright and shinny cause you sent me a replacement pump back in the day out of the goodness of your heart.... bless you sir.
Plan "D"
Find another used TEC block and buy it... OR OR... Try and modify that fancy EK-QuantumX Delta TEC block... bit expensive but damn cool.
Plan "E"
I do a regular ole getting kinda boring... water cooling block.................................................don't let this happen.
On the plus side.... I did get the board coated with conformal. Kinda a win.
So... yea... Plan "C".... Anyone?

Wonder.... maybe I can rig up a standard waterblock over the peltier instead....

Spent a bunch of work hours humming over this. Decided to attempt to make a "Repair" and keep this baby alive
Started by sandblasting the aluminum block clean.
Then applied good ole JB Weld!!
Lapped the face, made sure I had clearance... and Bingo.
Cut a new gasket, reassembled for a leak test. NO LEAKS, good to go.
Then further tragedy occurred...
Cracks on the ceramic, and a conductor snapped off.... DUN DUN DUHHHH
It's like forces are at work to stop this from happening.
Got a supplier with a matching peltier to replace this one.

Waiting on my Rads to come in before I continue doing the CAD work. Don't want to print anything else till that is complete.

case looks just amazing and the block well wow that fact you were able to get her up and running again is great cant wait to see this case.

Thanks. Couldn't let the ole girl die... This thing may have become a relic from a time long passed....
New Peltier has been ordered. Pretty certain it is the EXACT same Swiftech used.
Was REALLY tempted to go larger. Since I'm already fighting fate on this project i wasn't going to push my luck.

Couple of design changes and additions.
Things are slowly coming together. Replacement Peltier should be arriving today.
Hopefully next update I will have the block mounted and everything insulated.
Also, doing some interesting changes to my PSU wiring harness. Completely unnecessary, BUT THATS THE POINT RIGHT!

Something beyond me really doesn't want me to succeed here.
For the first time EVER.... I've caused physical damage during a build to a motherboard and a cpu.
The conformal coating on the board managed to get into the socket. HONESTLY mind blown by this!
Believe this would be the 6th board I have coated for TEC... Never run into this before.
Expensive loss here.... Don't think I got enough drink to numb the pain on this one.
Anybody in this forum with the knowledge and capability to repair this disaster???
