have you looked around your local area to see maybe there is a mobile car key/fob business they have become more common with mobile locksmiths in my area. the dealer at only 150 is pretty good.
That's what I ended up doing. Cost was $150 + tax for what looks like the exact same key fob I had from amazon (this one had guts though) and the exact same "programming" steps. (insert original, start engine, wait 5 seconds, remove original, insert new and start engine, let run for 5 seconds, remove, test buttons).
The $150 dealer price was just a guess... seeing as how it's $150 for a clone, I wouldn't be surprised if a dealer fob would be north of $250.
