so...I may not be the embodiment of perfection when it comes to having no issues with the 24H2 update. I installed the update quite some time ago but it wasn't until a few weeks ago my Bt started to malfunction. I would wake my system up and my keyboard and mouse would not connect and when I opened settings, no Bt was detected...so, I go through the repair cycle, reinstall and voila, everything works.

whatever is happening is intermittent tho, but it's always the Bt driver disappearing. oddly enough, the WiFi card the Bt is on has no issues at all. it's an Intel Killer card based on their AX210 chipset.

still, I will swear my natural inborn superiority is still there...dammed plebs, hacking my PC. ;)

I'm pissed off because my home insurance has jumped something like 70%-80% in the last two years. I went from $900/year to $1700/yr. My insurance company blames in on massive disasters where entire neighbourhoods have been wiped out - the fires in Fort Mac, fires in Jasper, fires in LA, flooding in BC, and Hurricanes on the East Coast etc.

My major point of contention is that I choose to live in a place that has a hellish climate - Manitoba. We put up with ungodly cold winters, and quite hot summers. BUT, our climate is relatively stable - we don't deal with wildfires, earthquakes, or hurricanes. Flooding has been mitigated by our government (with high taxes to go with it). So why the hell am I paying for somebody to be able to live in a nice climate like BC or Cali?

Yeah that doesn't really make sense, I can understand rates skyrocketing in those states/provinces, but odd that the burden would be shared in Manitoba.

To be clear, I'm not minimizing the plight that people affected by such large scale disasters are suffering. BY all means, entire neighbourhoods and communities getting wiped out are disastrous.

However, I don't think that insurance rates should be shared across the board like that. I actually applaud insurance companies for starting to decline new policies in certain areas (not cancelling existing policies - that's a very evil move). You want to live in Southern California where it never rains, the temperature is always perfect, and the lifestyle is great? Awesome! Enjoy your life. Just accept that the cost to live there is that your house and all your possessions may burn down once every twenty years.

methylphenidate tastes like lidocaine, BLECH! though, gotta admit...feels a lot better. :p

edit - feel really isn't the right word as methylphenidate is NOT a methamphetamine. you don't get a high, but rather boosts your mood, makes you more positive and alert while helping focus your abilities to function; it fights the effects of ADHD.

new yet old rant. I posted a complaint about how horrible a recent unsubscribe process was. it took like 6 or 7 steps / screens with each middle screen prompting me for some report I would find useful. I said no to each one. damned company, under an alias / subsidiary or something just spammed me with three emails warning me the countdown to access those reports is about to reach 0 and I need to act NOW. AAARGH!!!

well, this is F'ing great, the house next to me ( semi ) has such poor attic insulation that they have massive ice damning happening across their whole roof. Because we have a shared soffit the water is now working its way over into my soffit and they are losing so much heat the ice damning is on my side of the roof by about 2 feet. Simcoe County owns the house and they are putting it up for sale on May 1, so not a chance in hell they do anything about it.

Just gotta hope the damage is not bad as it's only a little bit onto my side and will install a heating cable in the spring/summer so this never happens again.
