Been trying to buy a set of speakers off FB for over 20 days. He lives in a town a couple hours away. He doesn't include model numbers. And doesn't post pictures with the grills off, so I can't identify exact models that way.

I ask for model numbers. No reply for about 10 days. I had given up. But then be says he'll get them to me by the end of the day. Which didn't come. 5 days later I ask if he got model numbers. Then nothing.

Yesterday I message him saying I'll be in town today and I'd like to look at them. Then nothing.

If you can't spend the 2 minutes to get post model numbers. Then why bother putting them for sale? No one is going to spend 800 on speakers, when they don't know what they are.

I never understood those types of sellers/buyers. Drives me nuts when a potential buyer seems interested but then goes dark for several days only to come back as if they hadn't ghosted you. Same goes for sellers.... I can understand if a seller isn't available during the workday, but damn dude.... if you're going to put a product up for sale, respond to queries within 24 hours. (Although I can kinda understand when it's FBM since that doesn't have a notification email function).

Was looking for sub for the basement and was dozens of people like that where I couldn't get the model numbers and such from them.

Heard a loud snap sound from my dishwasher when opening it and now the door falls heavily and without control.

Going to assume there's a spring and maybe a cam or cable of some kind that controls it. I'm going to assume this is an easy fix, but still need to remove the darn thing to identify which parts are broken and what needs replacing.

We've been using ours for several years now without the slowdown mechanism. We just catch it on the way down with our leg lol We are so used to it now that at someone else's place the other day my daughter was wondering what was wrong with the door on their dishwasher and why it was so slow! :)

In our case, has zero effect on the dishwasher function and requires the replacement of what look like rubber stoppers for lack of a better word that take the pressure and slow the decent. But, never bother to replace them yet.

It doesn't affect the function, but I know a guest or clumsy date will one day let it fall down and end up snapping something more critical or bashing themself in the shin, so it's getting replaced sooner rather than later.

All the years of industrial safety being drilled into my head means I've become too aware of 'what can go wrong' so I don't like leaving anything broken haha.

Oh for sure, fixing it is the recommended option :) We just adapted and haven't had issues visitors, family members, etc. but certainly could.

Hot water tank ruptured!

Luckily it was just before I went to work, so I was able to contain and control it for the most part. It was running out at a moderate hose rate, so I had the shopvac sucking it up as it was coming out…after the initial 5 min of leaking everywhere.

New one is installed now. It sucked, but it could have been way worse. Tank was 9.5years old…so probably all that can normally be counted on.
