Ya, I wish they put speed bumps on the main street my house sits on. People speed all the time down it, so they put a roundabout in, which everyone hates, but the good news is it has everyone using it so confused that the corner it's on has much lower accidents than before, so lucky us, they're putting in more across the city. god forbid they put in a 4-way stop, so many people have no clue how they work either.🤦‍♂️

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the traffic circle they put into my neighbourhood works. I was dead set against it when they announced their plan, but now that we have it in place, I can see how it's improved the traffic flow. (It was pretty much the only option they had as new development was making it a 5 road intersection).

there was a different 3 way intersection not far away that had no stop signs when going straight only on the road coming in. The first 1-2 years we lived in the area it was like that then they made it a full 3 way stop. For about 6 months it was dangerous to assume they were actually going to stop. Took a long time for people to adjust. So putting in full stops doesn't always help either. So many people just about got t-boned.

I wish this were the case on this street, but so far it just always feels like you're playing car crash roulette. Before the loop was put in, there were 11 accidents at this intersection over 2 years, the first year after we had 6, the city council called that a decrease lol. The other problem is that the street is a main route for trucks to get to factories on the other side of town, but now it's a massive pain for them since a lot of them can't get around it without hitting it.

No one in my neighbourhood likes it and wants it gone. We would like to have a 4-way, over loopy, also it hasn't slowed the speeders on the street down, people coming off of the highway like to do 80+ down the road with kids playing around, it's not good, many animals and people have been hit on this street.

They put in a traffic circle on the main highway up here a few years ago. Now they are just taking over. Adding more on same highway nearby.

TBH the corner of my block they need to do something too. At least a 4 way stop or something. I think there was a fatality Tuesday as police had it shut down for at least 6 hours.

Most highways in Australia have huge round abouts.

So I have to ask what pixel do you have as I have heard the Pixel 8 has had problems with Bluetooth and wifi, I and the wife have the same pixel 7A and she has the update done too and everything works great for us, wifi and bluetooth sitll work great, we did have to forget the BT connections and redo them but never had problems connecting to anything same goes for wifi.
Mine is the 7 Pro and my wife's is the 7. We have both had issues since the update. Another couple reboots and it seemed at least slightly better today, but still way slower than it should be. Honestly just too many other things to deal with right now to worry.

In more rant news, shit got delayed again by like two days, all due to painting. Things were supposed to be basically done, but not happening. This has delayed me starting to build my desk as planned, but really need to have it done tomorrow. Then the sofa bed we bought and got delivered today is not working. It is a fancy remote operated one that we got thinking about how our parents who would be staying here could open and close without issue. But it just doesn't work at all, and after further inspection there is a tear too. So yea look like they will have to bring a new one.

And lastly for the day, one of the two delivery guys that brought my Ikea countertops, was just so rude and did not care at all about the brand new floors. First I meet him just right outside and as he was carrying just a small box (some ikea towels and stuff) and he just walked right past me into the house. Like what the hell right? Then I advise him where to bring the countertops and that all the floors are new and that the baseboards are still wet from active painting. He just grunts then goes out and grabs the smaller countertop and as I advise him and the younger guy with him (who had the much larger countertop, as was super careful and respectful) once again to watch the floors just sets the corner of the box down and drags it along the floor right in front of me. Look I don't expect much, but come the f on, one no need to even set it down, let alone to scrap it along the floor.

I hate people, they suck.

I'm surprised your Ikea delivery allows bringing it in the house. Seems like you would have been better off asking them to leave it in the driveway. Dude was having a bad day by the sounds of it though.
