@Marzipan Mine has been cutting out as well. Couple times a week I was having to go to the basement and power cycle the modem. It is in the server rack but it relies on purely passive cooling. So even though the rack doesn't get above 28'c internally I think it was over heating.

Leaving the doors cracked slightly past couple weeks and it stopped happening so I zip ties a fan to it last night and will see if that works. If this works long term I might revisit this with a better sized fan and a printed bracket to hold it.

If these can't even be in a 28'c ambient space then some are probably prone to intermittent failure just being in the wrong spot, near a window, below a heat vent etc.

Oh My FN God I spent the day putting to gethther my new system case is a wireing well just bad wires every where . anyway I finally get everythign installed accept for the drive I decided I will just clone my old drive to the new one which is 4 tb the old one is 2 tb so i fire up the free version of Aomie backupper which I have alwayts used to clone disks and well it gives me a pop up saying the size on the destination disk remains unchanged by default to add unallocated to all partitions click edit disk I click edi it show everythign has dto be paid for to clone the disk I have never had this happen to me before ug so I guess I am just going to have to do a fresh install and go through days or longer of reinstalling everything and just to salt the wound a little I still havent reicied my new modem even though it says it will be here by end of day earlier it said by 1300( 1 pm) so I am still using the building wifi whic his pretty slow lol

Is one of the drives a brand name? If so, there's probably a free manufacturer's version of Acronis that will do the trick.

You can still use AOMEI and then use Paragon partition manager to expand the drive to full size. If you don't want to pay for Aomei partition manager, I purchased it a few months ago, it's great, very useful.

It does. But., sometimes the empty partition isn't always at the end. So 3rd party software is needed.

thats what I wanted to do and used t do but it wouldnt let me it was is behind a pay wall now hehe.
I was able to do it using a different pce of software called disk genius works great even let me enlarge the partition so that the cloned OS used the whole drive. now everything is up and running I am not looking forward to swapping out the PSU 850 w that is lacking one PCIE cable for my 7900xtx this is going to be a few hours or arguing talking to myself trying to route the cables , it is strange because I swear that this 850w PSU I used before then upgraded to the 1000w PSU
for a few seconds I had that whisper in my ear why not just used the other PSU extra PCIE cable and plug it in but I am pretty sure thats not a good idea
this motherboard also has 3 CPU 8pin connectors on the board but I am only connecting two I read somewhere that I could actually get away with one since I am not a hardcore OCer I used the standard turn on one button OC
and then to top all of this off I am still waiting for my Modem to be delivered which means using building wifi and some places I go to on the net want locations and I get pops in windows trying to get me to turn on location which I never had to do before in windows .

Swapping PCIE or for that matter, any cable/s, I would never recommend it, just sounds like a bad idea. But you're back up and running, congrats

yes up running and like I mentioned that little Devil on my should was whispering to PCIE cable usage but I smacked him upside the head lol my back is killing me and migraine happened last night because I was on the floor putting this thing together all day\night and parts of today its funny how even with the migraine as still able to push through but suffered today I feel it coming back so definitely taking the meds . As for the PCIE I now have that devil on my should whisper use the cable with 2 PCIE 8 pins and then the other pcie can use the one 8 pin connector. Without having access to the internet sucks like if I were to shut down pull my old gaming system's 1000watt PSU out and something happened I wouldn't have access to the internet because my Media PC doesn't have Wi-Fi to access the building wifi.
I am pretty sure that it will go smoothly but I also know murphies around smiling and waiting for the opportunity to Mess with me some more lol

ugg still no modem I watched teh postal woman walk into the lobby hopes raised up pretty high then she left and no modem from m yISP it was supposed to be here yesterday tracking showed this

I am Aldergrve which is outskirt of Langley.
Then my system is getting a popup error load libraryfailed error 87 which just started after I installed my 7900xtx driver so that will probably have to be uninstalled reinstalled lol
on a different not tried to pull the drive out of my media system with has the b550 chipset and install it into my other system which is a b650 chipset of course am getting Windows 11 efi boot error I am hoping can just finish downloading ( at very slow speeds like around 700Kb\s) and fix it
