Rants etc.....

Sigh again. My rusty ass Subaru is in the shop for some repairs and already ran into parts problem.
  1. Replacement headlight doesn't fit because the JDM units are from different years for the same generation Impreza (93 to 97 vs 98 to 2001), they have different front grill so the shapes are a bit different
  2. The Whiteline bushing kit I got last year which I only can afford to install now are missing parts. I ordered them in the US and shipped to a friend's house in US

1.25 hour charging time may be an issue if the snow fall is too fast. But I can see a situation where you do this as a business in Vancouver. Drive up, unload, plow from the warmth of your truck. Just bring spare batteries or hook up a gas generator in the truck bed.

All of this talk of snow blowers has me thinking of my grandfather.... subsistence farmer who's equipment was all converted from originally being designed to be pulled by horses.

I vaguely remember when he got his first shiny new snowblower. Just a standard width push one that he used to clear the farm road down the "mountain" (this is quebec, so "hill" to all you folks out west :) ) to the main road. I never thought much of it at the time, but that road had to be close to a couple of miles long.... no idea how long it took him to clear enough to get a single vehicle width done, but it must have been the better part of a day.
