Let’s get started with Nvidia. As with any GPU releases, the reviews usually come a little earlier. For the RTX 3080, the original review embargo lift was on September 14th. Well, that embargo was actually pushed back to the day right before release. This means we’ll know on the 16th how the RTX 3080 will fare, and it will be officially available for purchase on the 17th.
But what about the RTX 3070? all Nvidia told us was that this sweet spot GPU would be available in October. Well, thanks to an Nvidia forum post, we now know that the card will be released in the center of October on the 15th.
Not just that, but apparently Nvidia has informed AIB’s that it wants the RTX 3060ti to also be released in October, this time in the second half. For the specs of the 3060 ti, here they are on screen. So no Supers.. We’re back to the TI branding now.
This means Nvidia will have released 4 cards before AMD even starts talking about their next generation of GPUs. With their prices being fairly adequate for the rumored performance, I wonder how many people will make the instant purchase after the reviews roll in.
