I'll drop in a +1 for the Logitech G305 and @Bond007's comments on it. After the recent HWC write up and reading some others on the net, I picked one up at BestBuy along with a steelseries thin cloth/rubber pad. Very happy with it.
imo, you can't go wring with a Logitech G502 Hero mouse. you can pick them up used for 30-50 bucks, and they are possibly my favorite mouse. as someone that plays on pretty darn high DPI (10000+), it feels really smooth, plus the infinite scroll wheel is amazing. My mousepad is a generic Beexcellent mousepad from china I got off Amazon.
