Got quite a few hours on the game now so I'll give some more thoughts.

Gameplay 5/10. Really is just a QTE, hold this button down, and horseriding sim. Could cut down 70% of the game and lose nothing of value. Fast travel, menus, looting, etc are all so damned tedious.

Characters, dialogue and story are a solid 9.5/10. Voice acting is good and I like the characters.

But then they are a few annoying bugs. First is HDR will randomly just not work at all until I restart the game. I have to disable vsync and enable reflex 3X every time I play the game. First at launch. Second about 5 minutes after launch. Then about 30 minutes after launch. Like WTH?? Subtitles just straight up don't work. There was a few scenes were it was just spanish. And not sure if I should know what they are saying I try to enable subtitles. But you go back in to the menu and it is back off. Then there is this one where I'll be riding my horse and start turning, and you'll do a complete 180.... And also you'll be walking/riding and you just stop for no damn reason. And getting started in the correct direction just doesn't work properly.

I'll finish the game but I really can't recommend it.

I'm curious if you're running on DX12 or Vulkan Lowfat? My Radeon gpu looks the best when on Vulkan but the dreaded FFFFFF crash to desktop is too damn unpredictable so I switch to DX12 if I want to avoid crashing.
Also, in my experience, if some driver level control is trying to adjust video settings (like Geforce Experience or AMD Adrenalin) it might make the game unstable or appear worse than intended. I wonder if something like that is happening?

But I can confirm if the game updates or I change my driver I do have to go back in and tweak settings and if I don't get it just right the game does look terrible in many areas of the map.
It definitely is a game to relax and chill in, since doing most things in it involves many key presses and animations!

I tried DX12 and Vulkan. Vulkan performed better. I don't use Geforce Experience. And it changes mid-game. So I can't see it being anything other than the game itself. I did find another report of settings reverting on newest version of the game. So I'm not alone.
