One of Sony's first 360 Reality Audio speakers shows the hardware — much like the platform itself — is still a work in progress..
it's an interesting thing. the bass is lacking, which is usual for this kind of device, but the bit that surprised me is that you really need to have specially made audio to use the 360 function. from everything I previously read, I was under the impression it worked some sort of DSP magic on any audio.
