I'll be looking to build a new gaming rig in the summer, and I'm hoping AMD will have some new solutions by then. If for no other reason than to normalize the market prices. But that may just be wishful thinking. GPU's seem to be going the way of Vancouver housing... pricing the every-man out of the market.
Pretty dissapointed with NV at this point....only logical upgrade from an $850 1080Ti is to a $1650 2080Ti ....2060 big no....2070Ti not really and not worth it ....thanks NV...guess we'll be waiting for another generation... :blarg:
Yea, but really going from the ti to the next generation has never really been worth it. 780ti to 900 series same thing, needed to get 980ti to make a real difference but not worth the price. 980ti to 1000 series same well pretty close to the same. I find if you get a ti card then you need to skip a generation to make a upgrade at least seem worth while.
And lets face it with dual 1080ti's we can't really complain about performance. One more thing is ideally by the next generation we will see more titles that take advantage of the RT and DLSS stuff.
That said, I can't defend the prices on the 2000 series, I mean $1600 for one 2080ti? That is about $600 more than it should be.
True enough....I didnt think about 980 Series and held out with 780Ti until 1080Ti......very true regarding RT and DLSS...
I feel with this generations RTX implementation I'm very happy to be on the 'near' side of that 2-generation cycle. The 30 series should have a lot more refinement, and actually make a 1080ti upgrade look amazing...barring another price creep of insanity... :blarg:
