It looks like 2020 is not and will continue to be not very kind to pc enthusiasts. While the tech is great, availability seems to be the biggest issue. The RTX 3000 series was such a bad launch that many resorted to calling it a paper launch, and even now, availability is still… well not present. Everything is out of stock.
And the same seems to be happening to AMD. The Ryzen 5000 series of CPUs released about 4 days ago and it sold out in the first few minutes. There seem to be just as many scalpers for these products. Not only that but companies and AMD reps are now saying that the same. an Asus representative has warned that the first batch of cards of reference cards would sell out quickly. According to the translation, within minutes.
Thankfully though, AIB models would start rolling out about a week after the launch date which is November 18th. Sapphire and XFX are expected to be the first to roll them out. The only thing is if you were waiting for a heavily factory overclocked partner card, you might have to wait for next year, at least that’s what I’ve heard.
