I'm never paying that much for a gpu. I know they can price whatever they want now but it's absurd.
Yep, it's really hard to think it's anything other than gouging at this point.
it's at the point now that buying these is just to show off your FPS; never mind actual gaming.
like the updated DP 2.1 wish it'd had hdmi 2.2 as well but thats unrealistic lol
are there any 8K monitors to plug into?
not yet but its good to have it not need it then need it not have it,
my 3090FE cost me about 2x the 5090FE but it has lasted me this long thanks to the copper mod and not thrashing it like a spoiled ahole. it will live on as its not abused and is well cooled. i just dont want to wait 2.5 yrs to get one still at scalper prices because stores cant wont impliment a way to stop ppl from getting pallets of gpus before actual customers but really these places dont give 2

Well, yes... and no I think. If you watch the linked video, the performance, albeit in a game that supports all the GPU features, is pretty amazing at 4K. I'm not convinced the entry price is worth the performance jump, but the performance jump combined with the new tech is definitely there.
