They aren't a monolithic design. Still using chiplets and the separate IO controller. But the slide says the infinity fabric should be able to do 2000MHz, would be 1:1 w/ DDR4-4000.

If true that is exactly what I was asking in the other thread . Crazy timing friendly :D

2000 would be nice for high end memory overclocking for sure

Perfect timing indeed, my guess was maybe correct then :)

Now just to wait for November 5 and try to get a chip!

just have to find affordable DDR4 4000mhz RAM. I saw a 32GB kit of Corsair LPX...but @ $500, that's far from affordable.

I haven't overclocked in more then a decade...how likely is it you could push some 3600mhz to 4000mhz?

Corsair RAM is just overpriced... Ripjaws go for $312 and goes up from there if you want RGB and what not.

I'll take this one with a grain of salt. When I watched Gamers Nexus discussing the release day information he stated that the IO die on the chip was exactly the same. I guess we will have to wait for release day reviews and for the enthusiast community to get their hands on these chips to see what they can do.
