Wish I'd have seen this earlier. I have a 5600X lying around doing nothing that I could have sold for a reasonable price.

My nephew tried this he wanted to upgrade i said it may or may not work so I gave him my 5600x and it barely worked after he did the bios update which is why I ended up selling him my 7600 non x for pretty cheap
Not to take over the thread, but the 5600X "barely worked"? Something wrong with the chip?....very rare.
Maybe he screwed up the BIOS update?
oh no everything went fine the chip was still good it is possible that the board was just old and barely could handle the changes he was having hard restarts and things like that, I never did actually look at the logs whop knows I think he went from a 3600 to the 5600x maybe chip set issues not sure
