Yeah, a lot more info, like for example how well will this many cores act in the software used every day.

If XFR lives up to its hype the 1700 and 1600 are going to be killer good deals. Just wish they made a '1900' 10/20 beast as I am itching to replace my 6950X with an AMD. :p

And if we don't get hit with too much of a Canadian price penalty.....

A $400ish 6C/12T processor paired with AMD's historically reasonable pricing on motherboards would probably convince quite a few early 1150 socket owners to dip their feet back into the AMD pool.

That said.... they've got a long way to go to win back my trust, and I sure as hell won't be an early adopter this time around.

Yup I agree. Wait and see is going to be my approach too... as AMD has a lot to trust to gain back... but this is the first really 'cool' thing I have seen them do since the original X2 days. Lets hope they don't let us all down again. :)

There's some leaked ASUS motherboard pricing out in the wild as well.

IMO motherboard/chipset pricing has always been where AMD shines. It's been forever since we had a real new chipset release from them so many folks have probably forgotten about the traditional full featured yet affordable platform AMD has often brought to the table.

I saw that this morning also $209-$99ish USD but with ram taking a leap along with the US/CDN exchange rate I think I'll be waiting it out even if the ipc performance is all it's hyped up to be.

When all settles and my cdn $ rises some day and if the ipc performs I'll probably aim for a 6c/12t.

Gears of War 4 Benchmarked: Graphics & CPU Performance > CPU Performance - TechSpot

I'd like to see some real gaming benches like that scenario ^ leaked and GTA 5 / Fallout 4 would be some others that would be interesting.

So, is there any real announcement on release day yet, rumor I'm getting is possibly Feb 24th and others saying into March? I just wanna see some real reviews,
