I know they used to have a worse rep than WD, at least prior to the aforementioned dumpster fires, buy anecdotally Seagate's stuff has been like tanks for me, whereas I've had 2 WD products that had issues. Obviously that doesn't make a statistical case that they're 'just as good' but I've got no concerns grabbing a seagate instead of a WD.

I just bought those compute 8TB drive's 2x for $380 Wich is amazing since one of my other Seagate was $260 alone last year.
