Link is finally working. A couple things:

1. The choices themselves look great.
2. Shop some sales to try and get costs down if you have a bit of time. It's a shame you couldn't have ordered a bit sooner. BF/Boxing day sales likely would have got that down around $1k.
3. Unless you are going multi GPU I would step the PSU down a notch or 2. 650-750watts is more than enough. G3, RMx, or focus plus gold are all great pending pricing when you order.

Yeah with current generation of hardware excluding the 300-380W TDP Intel CPU ls that have been rumored, 850w is definitely overkill. Overclocked Fx8370 and two 6990 could pull over 1100W from the wall.

Oced 2700x and tweaked1080ti draw, 24 fans, 2 pumps and other overboardness with power draw of monitor, speakers etc a quick timespy test peaked around 520W at the wall. I could load it more heavily but that kinda give a general idea of how little some newer hardware is actually pulling. Literally pulling less than half the wattage I was before the upgrades.

I am thinking on choosing the corsair HX 750w 80+ platinum PSU. Heard some negative feedback about the EVGA G3 PSU's.

A note about Vuugo. I had considered them for parts for the builds I'm doing for my nieces right now because their prices were low according to PCPartPicker. But iirc, I think it was them where the shipping was very expensive for me in Nova Scotia, like $30-35. I ended up getting the Vuugo items from Amazon.ca. Starting price was around $5 more, but with free shipping it ended up being much cheaper.

Moral of the story: best starting price on PCPartPicker might not always be the best ending price once you're headed through the checkout.

BTW congrats on the new build @ern88 ! That is going to be fabulous!! 😁
