Her we go Round 2 this is the going be the test rig to see if my 14900K is still viable. As I found that gasket glue on the pads under cpu 😱🤦‍♂️ here's hoping it will be functional.

i have another set of uni fans for the back i need to switch around the fans on the 420 aio, and still awaiting the backplate and more custom cables. also not sure how the controllers are going to play with the Corsair Commander. its going to be in the 1000D ill turn the current working 14900KF rig into a Linux Rig once i get the side panel offset 3D printed so i can ditch the cardboard macgyvered one i made lol.

Are those 4X fan units, or did you just stack them together for the shot and I can't see the lines between them?

The multi-fan units are nice and clean, but I'm always worried that one of the fans will fail and take down the whole unit.

Ahh it's 3 packs of 3 fans I stacked em I'm just now realizing how am I going to control these do I plug them into the Corsair Commander or do I use seperate usb internally header and I learned I have to power these with 2 seperate SATA cables. Good thing I ordered a new set of custom cables. One controller needs it own separate SATA power plug.

The difference between the Commander and a generic hub is that the Corsair unit is a controller which can do progressive colour schemes across individual fans (like a waterfall that starts on one fan and progresses through each successive fan) while the hub is limited to the same scheme across all fans simultaneously.

The one that came with the Corsair 1000D has 2 usb ports built in I suppose as long as it can pass along the Corsair Blue theme I use for the keyboard that'll be ok just not sure how the uni connect app would play with icue lol the fact it comes with 2 sata power plugs that need its own individual cable has me wonder wth but I suppose if you can link upto 16 fans per controller it needs alot of power.

Build is done ill get some more pics up didnt really take alot as when i was building the first time it was extremely unstable could have been that i damaged the die when removing the IHS.

this time around i used a heat gun to warm the indium for 30s then popped it in the Rockit Cool Delidder gave it a lil blast of heat clamped her in, used the hex key but instead of the tool i used a hex head on a screw driver so i could use wrist strength to gently increase force until it popped gently not like last time.

used the silver solder remover then the Flitz polish until die was a mirror finnish, liquid metaled, then the Thermal Grizzly Direct Die Contact Frame and TG Bubble Gum,

temps are great did a quick & Dirty Tweak to get Voltages under control. will tinker further once get more time.
