discussion Should I buy a sound card?

I have AKG's too capt... I cannot hear any difference between the onboard or the prelude I recently sold.

I find most onboard setups never work well for my gear (K7XX and TH-x00). On the road if i'm going to listen to music exclusively I use an older v1.2 Dragonfly and at home have an STX with UNI drivers and Burson V5's to a simple O2. Because of driver hell I think most should go the external route now a days.
