It's been along time since I have had to buy fans and I just ordered a Thermalright Siler Soul that use's 1 120x120x25 fan and I'm going to be cooling an i7 6800K not overclocked.

I was wanting to be prepared to get 2 new fans to the single fan that comes with the Silver Soul incase it doesn't provide enough cooling,I also tried looking up the included fan that comes with the cpu cooler only to find out that no one seems to have any.

I looked at these Noctua's and thought I would try them if needed, does anyone have any suggestions for fans that move a lot of cfm and that don't make to much noise and won't break the bank,I seen Noctua had a 200rpm version of the fan in the link but the thieves want 37 bucks each for them.

Arctic Cooling P12 Max 120mm is cheap, pack of 5 is $65 on Amazon Canada. It got decent review, it's louder than the included TL-D12 Pro but has higher pressure. Phanteks T30-120mm would be even better but they are $110 for a 3-pack. If you are going with Arctic Cooling, make sure you don't confuse it with the older P12 PWM PST (I'm using those now), it got 66% less max static pressure than the P12 Max.

What I find truly sad is that these Noctua fans are 37 bucks a pop and I don't care how good they work they aren't worth that much.

I honestly hope that Thermalright keeps making the great product's that they are making now and keep their price's inline because there was a day when I wouldn't have looked at anything other then a Noctua cpu cooler or fan because their fans used to be the quietest and best performing but it just seems like Noctua is using their reputation to flat out steal from people and the saddest part is their stuff is made in Taiwan it's not like their stuff is made in Austria Canada or USA and are paying a really good wage to their workers.

Hardware Buster retested the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM and their conclusion is that it's too expensive but has good build quality. Since their re-check doesn't include the Arctic P12 Max, you have to use to browsers to do side by side comparison. With my bovine brain, I don't see a huge performance difference between the two to justify that kind of price difference.

I understand as well these company's have to make money as well and survive but it amazes just how insane things have become,I refuse to pay 37 bucks for a fan unless it's going to come with a 100 year warranty,I have yet to burn out a fan on a pc or have one go bad in anyway.

I can also honestly say that I haven't had to replace a fan on any of my friends or clients pc's either ever,I used to be more up on fans and would often swap out fans that were loud for a quieter Noctua model back in the day if I didn't want to listen to to much noise but today I fnd most fans that are included do a great job in most respects unless it's a really cheap pile of crap and no thought went into the designing of it.

The single fan that comes with the cooler should be enough for a 6800k. I'll send you my old delidding kit instead, will shave 15c off the Temps because of intels garbage paste job 😅

I will second the artic cooling fans from the P/F depending on your needs but I think the price is right and I have never had problems with their fans.
