Heya everyone been busy trying to stabilize my overclock so I can do more then game for a few hrs or try do some actual work without it crashing 2 mins into any workload.

Current issue I'm having is with my Sli Gtx 680's just started testing gaming in sli with the 2nd one as dedicated phsyx card and now my gaming is literally 100% smoother.

Games I play is crysis Diablo 3 Fallout New Vegas Crysis 1-3 and metro LL.

What iv noticed is disabling 2nd card by dedicating it to phsyx seems to have stopped the nearly Unplayable Diablo 3 in certain situations in rifts were alots going on I installed fraps to see what's happening.

Sitting in sanc I'm getting 300 fps get into rift drops to bout 260-280 second the screen gets loaded with elites on T6 that's when it drops to about 28-35 fps. So I set vsync but i can see serious lag no tearing but it's almost Unplayable. Even with vsync on fps drops to 36-52-60 when sli is enabled.

So I go into nvidia panel change it so 2nd card is dedicated to phsyx vsync on steady fps at 60 and screen isn't lagging at all no delays.

Question i need to know is my 1080 monitor bottle neckling sli performance so bad it can't be used or is it drivers reintroducing micro stutter in huge way?

Diablo doesn't technically support sli or crossfire from what I remember. Video lag in that game is pretty common though as there's a lot going on if you max stuff out. If you are running a 60hz monitor running your frames per second past that is nearly pointless form a hardware standpoint. If you want higher hardware FPS you need a higher frequency monitor. 120hz etc.

This is going back as far as quake 2-3...

I spent over a grand on my 1st 120hz monitor crt. It looks like a fishbowl compared to a flatscreen.

Thought so but seen in nvidia inspector it has a profile. I'll tinker more but I think it's time for a quality 120-144 Hz monitor but no swift.maybe benq or Lg. I'll report back with some fraps logs if other games see as dramatic improvement.

could be my Os isnt clean and in need of a fresh install, D3 drops to unplayable frame rates when sli is enabled and phsyx is set to auto, so tonight ill try win 7x64 as win 8.1 has issue of randomly deciding when blue ray drive shows up,

I had the same problem with crossfired 6970. Ran fine with a single card and would drop out when there were huge mobs.
