What's \\empire?

Are you saying you can't connect to the network at all from that pc, or that you can't connect to your internal network share?

It sounds like it's trying to connect to a specific network location as opposed to just pulling an active IP to connect.

edit: It's not saying that your PC account is disabled, it's saying that \\Empire is either offline, or you don't have the creds to access it.

Ah, well above my pay grade then.

I'd be looking at your NAS permissions though. If other PCs can connect to it through the internal network without any special permissions then for some reason your NAS doesn't like the new PC.

It's not something simple like the new PC NIC being set to public as opposed to private is it?

Is the username and password the same on your PC as the user on the NAS? Might just be getting mixed up if so.

Did you go into Credential Manager and clear it out from there?

Can also try running "NET USE * /DELETE" to clear any connections.

Another thought would be to use the IP address instead.

Have you tried creating a new account on the new PC to see if it can connect? If it can, that'd point to something going on with your account as configured, if it can't then maybe look at the IP and/or network card itself?

Do you have a wireless dongle you can throw onto it to see if it can connect with a different network connection?
