last week was the very first time I played cp I loaded the game up and it was choppy really choppy I couldn't figure out why, my card isn't the greatest but for me it was new an RX6600 should be able to play that game at 1080 it ended up being something in the settings I had to turn off now my average fps is 60 which for me is fine all the settings are set to not extreme but just before extreme. I am a little curious that if I did have a card that could run with that setting on if I would notice anything really that different, I do know through the decades of gaming that most games there is some difference but most of the time I am to busy playing the game and not trying to be killed to spend a lot of time looking at the details hehe .
I also know that most games have very lazy program writing and a lot of crap left in them that I guess can make sense because also most games are not just PC .
sure if a game is like say GOlf or a flight sim sure having max settings makes sense because it isn't an action type game also a lot of games have the movie parts which you basically watch the cut scene

^^^^ I tried CP77 on my laptop at work....GTX 1070.....no go...even with all settings at low at 1080 I was barely getting 40-45 fps and at times dipping down to mid 30's. Too hard on my eyes.....the Asus laptop monitor is 1080 w Gsync....

Most triple AAA titles have a tough time on the laptop.....so at work I play Fallout 4 ....runs fine!

Wow. I haven’t played CP, but I didn’t realize it was that taxing.

I certainly do better than that on my 1080 Ti, with some tweaking of specific graphics settings rather than just using the general categories (low, med, high, for example), but yeah, it's a beast for sure. There is a lot lighting and texture effects that bog things down. But if you turn them all to low, well... Night City and the NPCs just don't pop! If you're going to play it, it is definitely nice to get to at least med-high for most settings.

I played CP just fine on my 1070 at launch. I looked for "best 1070 settings for CP2077" on YouTube and copied what I found, it ran consistently well.
