You need to read that correctly, Series 5000 and not 7000.AMD is rumored planning to expand its Ryzen 5000X3D series with the addition of two new central processing units (CPUs), the Ryzen 7 5700X3D and the Ryzen 5 5500X3D.

I'm thinking it's possibly liquidating CPU that didn't make the cut for the higher end models the X3D was meant for originally.

I assume you are correct, just as they did with the 5600X3D. I wonder if these will also be market limited releases
