I am curious to know who thinks split screen multiplayer is a worthwhile(or not) feature that is missing on pc versions and why.

Split screen as in two (2) screens?? I have it setup: a 22" and a 19" ! They both run of the same videocard!

The 22" I use for Gaming and the 19" to measure/view things as nVidia monitor, Core temp, CPU-Z, Rivatuner and so on....very handy! I actually never tried gaming on both of them......Maybe I should try that a little later...

Consoles have it,pc's used to.GOW,COD4,Lost Planet and pretty much everyone else removed the feature from the pc version.I personally love split screen but dont want an xbox or ps3.Wondering if anyone else misses it on their pc for when friends drop by.

Interesting... never thought spit screen on PC was really all that? Makes sense on console. I think dual screen on PC is way way cooler. I agree that it'd be nice to play with a friend on the PC but I think that's why consoles are so popular.

1. You are not sitting at a desk
2. TVs are usually much bigger than PC monitors (in most people's home)
3. You have 2 controllers not 2 KBs and 2 mice (where would I put them all in front of one PC screen at my desk?)

LAN party or MP is the way to go on PC with buddies :)

Thund3rball is right. Mind you, #3 is irrelevant, just pick up the Windows PC adapter for the Xbox 360 controllers, and there you go (assuming you have a 360).

But even then, Lan party is def. the way to go.

Some monitors can do PIP (picture-in-picture) from two separate input sources. For example, two computers hooked up to one monitor with PIP. I've never tried this, though.

The last game that I played had multiple players on one machine on the screen at once was Comet Busters '95 and some newer versions of Pong.
