That has been disproved, at least for the standard copies. They added the update to the story you linked.

UPDATE: The standard edition will come with a disc, however the premium and constellation editions will not.

Bethesda Spain tweeted otherwise:

I understand with the size of it and all, but you'd think it would be the Constellation Edition that would get the disks, not the basic versions.
I don't even have a disk reader/burner in my system anymore. Perhaps they could provide copies on a USB stick :)

Just received an AMD email announcing they are the "Exclusive PC Partner" for Starfield. The video at the link below gives a little detail about what that means. Makes sense because I think AMD is in XBox? They mention optimizations and multithreaded support for 7000 GPUs and CPUs, but hopefully my lowly 5000 series CPU and 6000 series GPU can get some trickle down benefits :)

It seems that means no DLSS support for NVIDIA users, at least that seems to be what the community is saying. Hopefully it doesn't need DLSS/FSR to run above 30FPS though.

Yeah, I don't wish that on any of us. Is it possible that if they partnered with AMD and worked on FSR specifically, that it could get close to DLSS visual quality and performance? And NVIDIA can still run FSR too.

I noticed that turning on FSR in Diablo IV made the graphics fuzzier than I wanted at 4K, even though the FPS boost was pretty significant. However in Jedi Survivor it looks pretty good to my eye and worth it for the extra FPS. So seems to vary depending on game's implementation.
