Love this time of year. Work is generally dead. But I think the last 2 weeks may be the slowest I've ever seen it. On average I do 1000 or so KM a week. Last week I did under 200. I've worked maybe 20 hours in the last 2 weeks.

Weird, you'd think those ATM's would be buzzing right now. Paper out, jams, coin deposits. LOL. I remember those days working for NCR.

We aren't allowed to take time off in December as they claim its too busy. Yet it is consistently the least busy month time of the year here.

FINALLY cloned my clearly ailing HP EX920 to my new WD SN850X 1TB bought back in Aug. Much better 😁 ... results in original thread:

I tried out some 51 year old Sennheiser HD424 headphones my father-in-law brought over from Norway in '75 and despite their age, they're freaking awesome! the one my FiL have are the og, which have 2000 Ω while the revised one's that came out in the early 80's were 600 Ω.

edit - something else that's freaking awesome is that Sennheiser still has parts you can buy to fix the bits that wear out...for headphones that were released in '68!

Used my Aeroplan points and the heap of eUpgrade credits I have for a business class trip to Japan in April. Cost me a whopping $0.

I've also got a 50% redemption for North America and a 50% for Canada or the US, so I need to book two trips to use them up before they expire in the end of 2024.

I FINALLY figured how to enable 4K 120Hz from my 3090 to my 55" Q80C. It's in the Nvidia control panel, under resolution settings. I initally had it set to 3840x2160 under the QHD, HD and SD category, but that was limited to 60Hz. I didn't realize there was an entirely different section further down labeled 'PC' that allows you to select 3840x2160 120Hz.

And fair enough, as soon as I changed that setting, the TV's game mode recognized 120fps, and I've got Anno 1800 running on Ultra settings at 119FPS. This entire time I thought it was an issue with the settings on the TV, I didn't even think to check Nvidia control panel settings.

Yay, I finally figured it out. I'm a happy camper!
