The Happy thread!

Well, if it works so well, I would not change it for the look!

Worst case, how about installing a 80mm spare fan that would clear the memory in front for the push?

I'd imagine it'd be hard to get the airflow balanced, and it'd be difficult to mount.

I'm going to stick with this as is since it seems to be working reasonably well. I've got it pretty much built for sale except needing to swap out my 2 TB drive for the 1TB I'm going to sell it with.

Now.... if only my backordered bundle would come through so I can try to pass it on to the next owner for their appreciation.

Pretty bizarre (to me) that my status as a "small business" (which I got solely for cheaper parcel mailing... :) ) entitles me to regular updates from Canada Post (corporate) WRT the status of current labour negotiations.

The latest is that while both sides are in a position to give 72 hours strike/lockout notice, they've agreed not to pull the trigger as long as "productive" negotiations are still ongoing. (Which they apparently are).

I ship infrequently (4 times a year?)--ime the small business shipping can easily pay for itself with one significant shipment. If anyone is getting that "ouch" feeling from a Canada Post shipping estimate, I would encourage looking into it. The counter staff aren't likely to suggest it. Guitar buyers love my shipping refunds.

Edit: my wife says the Small Business registration didn't cost anything at Canada Post, so I guess I was thinking of the cost of the business license. Anyways, I save about half the shipping cost--which is about $100 a pop on a large parcel. Well worth the minimal hoop-jumping required imo, and if there was any fee, it still leaves me in my happy place. :coffee::cool:

Hrmmmmmm.........

Doing a fresh install on my "old" hardware prepping it for resale. None of my PCs pulled the 24H2 update/grade yet, but the install media tool uses that as default. Install went fairly quickly and I was pleasantly surprised to see that MSI has a tool baked into drivers which appears to have gleaned the appropriate hardware and offered me a quick "everything under one roof" download package even without visiting windows update.

Gotta be careful what you select for download since it also includes crapware (like norton) which nobody should want, but it's a nice touch which saved me from having to visit the website.

On another note..... the TT Core V1 might not be the smallest mITX case out there, but damn.... does it ever look tiny in the spot a Lian-Li PC-011 was occupying.. :)

Couple weeks ago I mentioned how my PC was waking itself over and over. I had turned off WoL and it has stopped.

But the odd thing is, every since I added a USB extension cable for my keyboard, waking the PC via keyboard was maybe 50% on if it would actually wake or not. But every since I turned off WoL, it has awakened every single time. Coincidence? Maybe. I guess time will tell.

Yesterday I went to the interview for the director position I had applied to earlier (on a whim) and had kind of thought it wasn't something I was all that interested in.

It actually went markedly better than expected. Believe I did very well in the interview and the two reps seemed very impressed. It also seems more interesting than I originally expected. Should know early next week if I will meet with the CEO next.

I'm not 100% certain I'd take it over another job that being offered for 2025 as this is salary as opposed to contracting which means I both make less and pay higher marginal tax rates, but 'director' looks awfully good on a resume and would mean a regular M-F 8-430 job with minimal travel.

I've gotten 2 other offers this week (when it rains, it pours) for contracts in 2025, so we'll see how it shapes up, but it's looking more promising than the end of this year at least.
