The Happy thread!

Hot days like today where it is hitting above 30 it would get just as hot inside the house.

So today hit 32 would be atleast 32 inside as well sometimes even 33 inside.

Post solar panel install it would usually be about 2'c cooler inside. So 32 outside would be 30 inside.

This is the first time it has broke 30 since I added insulation to the attic (in the fall) and only hit max 26 inside today.

Still obviously warm and AC would be nice but -6'c delta vs outside still feels like a huge win.

Yesterday was 31c outside and it didn't break 23c inside with no AC. But it also was cool the night before. So I could leave windows open with a couple fans to cool the place down. Was 19c when I closed all the windows. So went up about 3.5c over the day.

But on days where it's multiple days in a row of 30+ it can get a tad to warm. Like last night it didn't drop below 22c outside until about 1am. So windows don't get opened until 5am when I wake up. If today would have been 30c it probably would have reached 25c inside.

I did reinstall window AC for bedroom yesterday. Run it from 9pm to 5am. Sleeping above 20c just sucks IMO.

Started ozempic to get my a1c inline, numbers are getting better. Biggest thing is my appetite has gone way down, 0 food or alcohol cravings. Down 23lbs in last 4.5 weeks
I wish I was eligible for Ozempic haha. I'm up to probably ~16% BF and while I'm not heavy, struggling to get back down to around 10%. Something to help that last few % would be nice.

I'd die at 26C inside. I'd never sleep haha. With the zoned AC I have my bedroom set to 18 at night

SUV showed 41C on the way home for the exterior temp on the Henday, but I think the actual high hit 34C which was really warm.

I just don't sleep in those temps. It's awful.

That is the hallway temperature just off the living room which is one of the hottest spots in the house. Vaulted ceiling and not able to add additional insulation there. The bedrooms don't get as hot but don't have any kind of accurate sensors to take readings in those rooms so dare not give an actual number without an actual reading.

Last night finally got my first proxmox host up and running (properly not hacked together) and first LXC. Decided with the problems I was having with W11 would make a little iperf3 endpoint the first task. Start simple build up the other stuff later.

iperf3 immediately and happily reported 9.44Gbps network speeds instead of the 1440Mbps that W11 insists is the connection speed in the UI.

proxmox is going to be a rabbit hole though... 2x LXCs already one is a Docker Host with 2 docker images in it and already trying to understand how to do GPU passthrough... even reading walk throughs last night it just wasn't clicking with how late it had gotten after doing everything else.

Excited! Making our now annual trek to Sask starting this Sat for two weeks to work cattle and help with calving season at a friend's ranch 🤠 I'll be a bit scarce on here in that period.

Hoping to finalize that build for my niece so she can purchase the parts while I'm gone. Thanks again for all the input in that thread!
Great trip again this year! Even managed to keep all my bones in the correct number of pieces this year :D But man did it ever go too fast. Seemed like we blinked and were back on the plane heading home. Only 49 weeks until we go again!

Had a lot of forum reading to do but I think I'm all caught up now.

Got smoker all cleaned up. After figuring out how to light I can say I'm very impressed. It works very well. Temps are so consistent after heat up. Screen on the unit doesn't work at all tho. So thankfully the app seems pretty decent.
