The Happy thread!

Sound good! Add toasting sugar donuts over an open fire. You'll never want a roasted marshmallow again!
you talking about those lil ones you can also get dipped in chocolate or white icing sugar? 30 years ago, when I would go to Kamloops Blazer games, there were a couple of those mobile donut carts on the floor. at request, they would cook them a lil extra longer so they'd have a crispy crust to the yummy center :D

No, nothing special, just a regular bag of sugar covered donuts from the grocery store. The sugar melts and crystalizes while the donut itself gets crispy. I have yet to show it to anyone who didn't love it -- assuming they like crispy donuts and caramelized sugar lol

What you are describing sounds good too though. I had an aunt and uncle who used to make homemade donuts... ah the crispy memories... ❤️

Have a Levoit smart air purifier that died a couple weeks outside warranty. Replaced caps maybe a year ago and it worked for about another 6 months. I did a quick test at the time and they seemed good. So I stowed it to look at another date.

Today I have some better tools. I pulled all caps and tested. Even tested all the original poly caps. All good. Not everything is listed value wise. Nor is it worth my time to spend all day trying to fix it.

Found the motor needs 24V online. So I ripped out all the electronics. Found an old 24V power brick. And just soldered the fan wires to the power brick. It now can permantly run next to a litter box.

Finally making progress on rack. Had it sitting on my deck for a solid 6 months and another 6 or so in the shed. Still lots of work to do but I've ran out of the clear crimp in place in RJ45 boots (which are awesome). But I am very happy with how things are progressing.

So jelly fin was a bit of a struggle to get working but home lab now does GPU passthrough of both the Tesla P4 and the DG1 I picked up recently to a couple LXC containers, including the new jellyfin instance I spun up.

The DG1 is very much not officially supported on my dual xeon 2697v4 server (it is only supported officially on 9th/10th gen intels with iGPUs). So having it working at all is a bonus.

Getting pass through to work in docker was a right pain.

Pretty much all the documentation out there was wrong.

At one point I was ambitious and was trying to do GPU pass through from proxmox -> docker lxc -> docker container and had that working... but then I needed the USB Blu-Ray burner to also do pass thorugh and I could never get the docker container to pick it up the disks in the drive. Its one of the reasons why i recently ordered a cheap matx-x99 board so i can just have a dedicated baremetal ripping machine and pull the blu-ray drive out of the enclosure. It can just do it's thing until I backup all the disks I have... then maybe I'll sell it or something.

Seasonal tires swapped.... happy to see that the winter tires still look like they're good for at least another season, but I'll have to grab some new all season's come the spring.
