He (Shane Macgowan) died recently, age 66......sad.
He was a truly great songwriter and beautiful lyricist but I love this appearance doing a classic with the Dubliners. Ronnie Drew passed a while ago himself.

Cool sound. I don't know Shelby Merry... Another "living under a rock" scenario?

I only found out about her because I watched Final Space on Netflix and I'm one of those people that actually looks up the artists that do the music.
Been hooked ever since. She is different enough from the mainstream, love her vocals.

Got an email about some synthesizer music today and that reminded me of some old vinyl music - very early synthesizer compositions I haven't played in awhile. So I played the YouTube version while I answered the email

From the 60s, Perry and Kingsley, Islands in Space - amazing harmony, especially with earphones.

While this one came out in 1957, I wasn't aware of it until the late 60s when it came out on an album with other songs. Tom Dissevelt & Kid Baltan - Song of the Second Moon (1957)

Just heard Lukas Nelson doing his father's Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground on Willy's B'day bash.

Holy crap, does he ever sound like his father!!!
