Just reminds me why I don't really care for the new singer when she tries to redo his vocals. They just don't hit quite right. Not saying they should replace her or anything just if she is going to re-sing all his songs need to work on the delivery some more. I don't know how to describe it but she sounds almost hollow or dead or something and he always sounded almost invested into every word.

That said there have been some really interesting AI covers trying to use his voice

The rendition of the Limp Biscuit version of behind blue eyes... I wish he had covered this for real it could have been spectacular.

That AI rendition just sounds weird to me. Raspy in all the wrong places, and no dynamics. Worse than the Limp B. cover.

I agree that Emily does not have the power and transition from smooth to scream ability. She may be able to develop it. Let's hope so.



Emily Armstrong is already "not bad"....let's hope she can be GREAT!!

Good cover indeed, but seems less dramatic in places. I enjoyed it though.....no Talk Box....


Okay, I went back to the original, which was one of my first album purchases along with KISS Alive, and it is definitely less dramatic. Still a good cover.

I believe Frampton Comes Alive was probably my first LP, although I didn't purchase it, I got it as a Christmas Gift from my Aunt.

edit: Definitely a slightly different take on the lead, and it's more country rebel style. I could be wrong but I believe at one point it sounds like a wawa slide in place of the voice box. :)
