pie chart showing the break up of the world's $109 Trillion stock market.

Isn't that money that's just locked up in banks not doing anything but earning interest (or losing interest) for shareholders? While it tends to drive the economy it's not directly a part of it.

When governments give money to corporations, it's locked into that system. When the government gives money to people, most if not all of it flows back into the economy.

not sure...but the worlds GDP at this moment is almost $113 Trillion...which is up $12 Trillion from last year, so it could be and the difference between this chart and the current GDP is the liquid assets of the world or...based on last years information as it and the chart are based on the same total value.

The more astronomically informed than me amoung us may already know about the curious shape of Saturn's moon Pan, but I did not. I thought these images were quite fascinating and strange! There's also a theory, at least, in the link as to how the strange shape formed. Who knows of course but interesting.

“Most doctors are taught and believe that the brain dies after about five or 10 minutes of oxygen deprivation,” Parnia said. “One of the key points that comes out of this study is that that is actually not true. Although the brain flatlines after the heart stops, and that happens within seconds, it doesn't mean that it's permanently damaged and [has] died. It's just hibernating.

Vice-Scientists recorded the brain waves of people in cardiac arrest to understand what happens to consciousness when we die.

someone's come up with emergency beds / cots that would cost less than $20K for what usually goes for up to $220K.
