I have to admit I did a double take when I saw the headline in my feeds today. 
Do you want a KC-10 refueling plane? There are 10 for sales by US government but all of them are missing 1 of 3 engines (tri-jet) without the refueling boom. They are listed as non-flying condition so who really need one?

make for a cool home once reno'd.The other issue(s) (besides the missing engines) if a person wanted to buy one for flying purposes is that military aircraft modifications/installations are typically not certified for civilian airframes, nor would the parts necessarily have the documentation/certs to be re-used on a civilian passenger aircraft.
These are probably being auctioned off as scrap.
well, it is China where they like to attempt crazy building projects and if they can break records while at it, all the better. a lot of corner cutting still happens, but the gov is coming down harder on those that do if / when something fails. quite interesting!
