the 'Stuff That's Just Really Interesting 'thread

No better thread for this and doesn't really justify making a new one, so;

For the few Edmonton members still here (@Caldezar, @Izerous, @Sagath, etc), Edmonton's doing it's downtown dining week program again;

Maybe one of you needs an excuse for a dinner date with the SO?
I have only been to about 5 places on that list. Black Pearl is a black I always wanted to try though. Cafe Amore is amazing and the family that runs it is super friendly, I have a weak spot for the sambuca rose. And they run the Black Pearl as well.

Do appreciate the heads up.

Tzin and the Marc are two of the top tier places on the list IMO. Tzin has some of the best small dishes in town and the owner seems like a class act.

The Marc was recently (~1-2 years IIRC), but has to be the most reliable higher-end restaurant in town. Good mix of rustic French with more modern dishes and the best Tarte Citron in the city.

I haven't actually been to Cafe Amore so I'll look into it. Thanks for mentioning it.

I think it's a good case to highlight the difference between LLM and actual AI based medical usage. The LLM just regurgitated information based on the input, remember LLM just scrap words and verse together and build a matrix table or in this case it got a web connection to do some searches. The heavy lifting is actually done by a specialize AI.

In another bad case of AI expertise. Crafton CEO got found out in court that he used ChatGPT to worm out of a potential 250M payout to the Subnuatic founders. Essentially Crafton's claim that the founders were doing side gig were found to be untrue. The funny part is that Crafton's own lawyer warned the CEO that there's no solid cause to worm out of the deal and initially ChatGPT said the same thing. That was until he prompt it until ChatGPT agree. Further funny is that ChatGPT told him to keep all records which the CEO did which is how the chat log got exposed as evidence in court.
