Neat idea, although I concern about support/drivers/etc. for a Kickstarter laptop on an unknown company. Not to mention that horrendous trackpad placement.

More importantly though, I am also concerned about this ever getting off the ground as their kickstarter requirement was only $6800. That's nowhere near enough to get the manufacturing going, so why the oddly low $ requirement? I'd expect the startup costs on this to be closer to half a million or better. Additionally the manufacture plant photos look suspiciously like Framework. But regardless, those photos are NOT of this trimax laptop being manufactured.

They claim to be the first tripple montior but seen a few of these dating back to valkyrie. There seems to be a reason they never take off beyond the initial stages.

A few? Jeez I've seen a dozen of these so-called "productivity enhancer" tri- monitors over the years. They're pretty much always crap. Unless they start making them wirh OLEDs they'll be too heavy for practical use. Cheap light monitors will instead trade away viewing angles, colors and/or contrast.

In short, IMO, it just a dumb idea. If you really REALLY need more monitor space time follow your laptop around, get yourself a self-standing single portable monitor. It'll look better, be lighter and cost less. Win win and win.

USB-c monitors work pretty well, seems like they are wanting to reinvent a more expensive wheel.
100% agreed, I did not know I needed one until I purchased this (~$150) :

Then I purchased 3 more and have one for study, travel and work on the go.

AMAZING!

All you need is a single USB-C cable (thunderbolt) that supports video over usb.

Something like this:

So why is it better than this thing? IMO, the screen adapter is a bit more flexible.

because the hinge on the TriMax would hopefully have been designed with the extra displays weight in consideration.

as for everyone else...
- simpler, more convenience.
- cleaner / tidier and easier to pack up n go at a moment's notice.
- no cable octopus to fight or extra bits to lose.
- most laptops don't have two USB-C ports.

all in all, this particular iteration is attractive. of course it's not perfect and aside from the brand being an unknown and it's lacking a few things, for my needs and use case, this is close to perfect, as a concept.
