Seeing as there is already one for books, coupled with the fact that the last few posts in the ‘Happy Thread’ mentioned TV, it seemed an oversight not to have a thread for TV (and movies). Besides given the plethora of platforms these days, it’s easy to miss new shows.

Black Sail resumes tonight. :clap: I also might give Z: The Beginning of Everything a try, released yesterday on Amazon.

As stated in the happy thread.... I just started watching s1 of the expanse. Just finished ep 5 and am going to watch ep 6 this evening.... so far not too bad from a streaming binge watching perspective, but there's so little real meat in any single episode that I doubt I would have made it past ep 4 without giving up if I didn't have the option of streaming the whole season.... I mean c'mon.... I've got 5 hours worth of content down and they still haven't offered much of a hint about what's really going on?

I thought S1 of The Expanse was awesome. I thought the premiere was one of the best premieres of any show ever....Liked it enough to read the first novel. Probably the closest book to tv/movie adaption I've seen.

I watch so much TV, if I listed everything no one would read my post.

So I'll just post a few of the newer / lesser known ones.

Incorporated. One of the better science fiction shows of late.

Pure. CBC drama about the Mennonite mafia. Only 3 episodes aired so far but surprisingly good.

Colony. S2 just started. Another good scifi. This one is about Earth being taken over by aliens.

The Grand Tour. Everyone should know what this is....

Working my way through the final season of Recify on Netflix. The first two seasons are some of the best TV I've seen. About a dood that was in prison / solitary confinement for like 20 years, then being released. 3 seasons, all of which have now aired.

I dunno.... felt to me (content wise) that everything up to and including ep 6 is finally at a point where I'd expect the pilot to have left off.

Still going to continue watching, but it's right on the edge of why I don't particularly enjoy watching serial TV series.

That seems to be a thing now- Dark Matter was the same way, while Killjoys ignored the larger plot entirely for the first x number of episodes.

Second episode was pretty bad. But other wise its awesome. Minus the whole celebrity brain crash stuff.

Anyone watching the new serie Taboo with Tom Hardy? I watched the first 4 released episode,I like it!

S2 of The Expanse started off awesome. Really is one of the best science fiction series in ages.

Grand tour - episode 2 was really boring. I thought we'd have something engaging after the first episode but it was a lot of filler. Felt like saying "let's shoot guns and say it's our job when it's not" lol. Hope he next one is a bit better.

House of Cards (US) - on season 2 e3. Some really good burns by FU. It skipped ahead in timeline so curious how some of the other subplots in S1 will turn out or if it will just fizzle out and never be heard from again.
